EDESAL — Power analytics
EDESAL Energía is an Argentine power-sector company (edesalenergia.com.ar). We built an analytics platform for electricity distribution: consolidation of operational and regulatory data with emphasis on quality, traceability, and foundations for service continuity indicators.
Our Goal
Design and implement a robust data architecture (medallion, Bronze-first), simplify the data model, and enable reliable measurement of incidents and industry reference metrics (SAIDI / SAIFI), supporting monthly submissions and data governance.
The Challenge
Refactor ingestion and validation for monthly submissions, remove RawRecord-layer complexity, keep Bronze → Silver sync consistent, and build pipelines that identify and compute countable incidents with clear, auditable rules.
Stack & technologies
Microservices architecture; FastAPI for high-performance backend APIs; Next.js for web UI and dashboards; PostgreSQL as primary store; MinIO for files and datasets; Apache Superset for BI; Docker for containerization and consistent deployment.
